Welcome…

… to the Longham Community Website. Longham is a small, peaceful village in central Norfolk, with a population of two hundred & thirty souls in one hondred households, as of the 2011 census.

Situated equidistant from both Norwich and Kings Lynn, and around four miles northwest of Dereham, the village is an ideal base for exploring the Norfolk countryside, with the Brecks to the south, the historic towns of Kings Lynn and Norwich (Norfolk’s cathedral city) to the West and East and the beautiful, unspoilt beaches of the North Norfolk coast a half hour’s drive away.

fp1The homes are a mixture of older, traditional Norfolk cottages and newer houses, that follow the road through the village in a ribbon style development. We have a comfortable and well respected freehouse pub (the Longham White Horse) and an excellent Village Hall with extensive playing fields. The village also plays host to the Dereham branch of Cats Protection.

This website is a community resource, so if you have any upcoming events, news or other information which would be of interest to the community as a whole, please contact me with the details and I will include them here.
