Every Friday 8pm - 11pm at the Village Hall
The Sports and Social Club is open every Friday Night. Membership for the year is £5 for seniors and £2 for juniors (16 - 18). Bar at Club prices, Pool, Darts, dominos, children´s activities table.

Halloween disco
The members of the pool team and their partners organised a halloween disco on behalf of the Social Club. The hall looked wonderful with witches and cobwebs and the most marvellous carved pumpkins. There were prizes for the best fancy dress costume for both children and adults, everyone took so much effort with their costume in was difficult to pick winners. Anne Kerry kindly provided goodie bags for each of the children and thank you to all those who donated raffle prises. A fun evening, which raised just over £100 , so a big thank you to all the organisers.
Longham Village Hall Sports and Social Club 30 years anniversary
30 years ago the pub had shut and the Village Hall Committee decided to try and open a Sports and Social Club to provide a place where villagers could meet and have a drink in the village. They were successful in their application to get a liquor license and so the Sports and Social Club was founded. It was setup with the intention that any profit made would be given to the Village Hall to help with the running and maintenance costs and continues to function in this way today. This year for instance with the hire of the hall on Friday nights and donations of surplus cash, the Sports and Social Club will have given the Village Hall over £2000.
A big thank you must go to all those people who over the 30 years have worked to keep the Social Club going. Giving up their free time to help serve on the bar, fund raise and do the hundred and one things that helping on a committee entails. Also a big thankyou must go to those people that have supported the Sports and Social Club, either attending club nights or events.
The present committee are arranging a celebration dance, to which we hope all those who have been involved or are still involved will join us. We will let you know the date when everything has been confirmed.
